Our story
We bathe together, we are members of the same food club and ladies’ club, we walk our dogs together, and we love a good chat over the hedge. We are neighbours, friends and partners at work. We supplement one another in the best possible way: One person’s weak points are counterbalanced by the other’s strong points – and vice versa. Marina is trained in the field of sales, and Mette is a designer. Good business talent and quirky creativity go hand in hand.
The seaside concept, Hav, came about because we are winter as well as summer swimmers. Because we love the sea and the scenery around the city of Aarhus, and because we simply cannot keep away from plunging in. Whenever we sell a Hav product, we support the Plastic Change project and the Danish charitable foundation, Julemærkehjemmene. We do so because we support the idea of clean seas and beaches, and because every child deserves a good and meaningful life.
We make plush, warm and comfortable clothes for the cold periods at the seaside. Winter swimming equals cold toes, rosy cheeks and warm steamy clouds of breath hovering in the air for every breath we take.
Our seaside robe, the Havkåbe, is suitable for many purposes, and our customers use it exactly as they please. A considerable number will obviously use it at the seaside – for getting warm after a dip in the sea, whereas others will use it at home after the shower of the day, or they will wear it for snuggling down on the sofa when in the mood for comfort and cosiness
